Mahi Mahi and Rooster Fish

When my wife Roxie and I decided to go to Costa Rica for vacation, we knew we wanted to deep sea fish.  I found Danny’s web site on Google and sent off a request for information.

That’s all it took, dealing with Danny Crosby was easy and comfortable from the very beginning. Danny was able to find another fisherman to help us offset the cost which really helped us out.

When we arrived in Costa Rica, I called Danny and he drove over to meet us a day before we were set to go fishing. Right away my wife and I felt that we had made a great choice in finding a great charter. Danny was knowledgeable and friendly. The following day he picked us up at our rental.

I would like to say that the fishing was fast and furious, but quite the contrary, it was a little rough with a wind out of the north. Bait fish were far and few between. The thing that impressed us the most was how hard everyone worked to find and catch the fish we did.

My wife hooked into a 60 lb. plus rooster fish and we caught numerous Mahi Mahi in the 30 to 35 lb. range.

Captain Raphael, mates Freddie and Jean Carlos worked constantly and always with a smile. Next time we come we hope to add a sailfish or two to the list.

I would not hesitate to fish with Danny and the crew again. They were a class act all the way.

To summarize, this was one of our best fishing experiences. The price was very reasonable for what we were provided.

And when you go, you’re not treated as a customer. You’re treated as a friend. I hope to do this again. Thank you Danny, Rafael, Freddie, and Jean Carlos.
